Trisha Wren – Privacy Policy
As customers and fans of Trisha Wren, or ‘Trisha Wren, Equine Energetics‘, I may hold some information about you (your name and email address). This is a short note setting out everything you could ever wish to know about how I collect, use and store this information. If you still have any pressing questions after reading this, please contact me.
IMPORTANT NOTE:Â When I talk about “information”, I am only referring to your contact details. I never have access to your financial information when you make payments using PayPal or bank transfer. All sensitive financial information is held securely by the processing companies, and they never share this with me, or anyone else.
How I collect information
I use ActiveCampaign to manage my mailing list, and you can sign up for my newsletter here. You will only ever end up on this mailing list if you have signed up for my newsletter, one of my free checklists or trainings, or if you have specifically asked me to add you to it.
If you email me direct to book a session (eg Animal Communication), I will manually transfer your name only to my bookings and income spreadsheets. Â I will not add you to my mailing list unless you have asked me to.
Whenever you order a service from me, either directly or through my Acuity booking system, you give me sufficient information about you to enable me to process the order.
When you order / pay using Stripe or PayPal, your name and email address will be automatically added to my ActiveCampaign database. Â Every email has an unsubscribe option; you are free to unsubscribe at any time.
Online service requests via Messenger record your name only.
The website provider I use, WordPress, has cookies enabled for this site to make sure your computer (or other device) is recognised when you visit here again. You can find out more about cookies in general here. Sadly they are not the edible kind.
Â
Who has access to your information
In a nutshell, just me! As sole trader, I am the only one who ever has access to your information, and I never, ever, ever pass this on to anyone else.
I use ActiveCampaign as a way of managing my mailing list, and your details are also stored on their servers (click the links to find out more about their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service).
If you pay me using PayPal or Stripe, they will also hold information about you. You can read the PayPal Privacy Policy here, and Stripe’s here.
Â
How I use your information
I send out regular newsletters to those who have signed up to my mailing list. Â This is the sort of thing you can expect to receive:
- latest news, and interesting experiences I’ve had that might interest you
-
information on courses I’m running
-
info on special offers, discounts, free reading events on Facebook.
You can see examples of past newsletters I’ve sent out here.
If you have bought a service via my shop, you can expect to hear from me using the contact information you’ve provided. Â
In the highly unlikely event that I stop being an Animal Communicator, I will let you know so you can decide if you still want to receive newsletters from me.
How I store information
ActiveCampaign hosts details of all members of my mailing list on their secure servers.
I keep an electronic spreadsheet of all customers who are on my readings waiting list, and one for payments received. (This is held on my password-protected pc.)
I keep these spreadsheets solely for accounting and tax purposes (I need to keep all sales records for at least 7 years).
Â
Your rights
You can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, and I will give you full details free of charge. You also have the right to ask that your details be deleted, amended or transferred. If you ever change your mind about what information, if any, you want me to hold on your behalf, just contact me.
Every newsletter you receive from me has options to either Update Your Preferences, or Unsubscribe – just scroll to the bottom and click the link.
There’s a helpful article you can read on the Which? website if you want to find out why you’ve been bombarded with so many emails.
